기존 교실 본동의 끝단에 위치하여 신축되는 급식실과 도서관은 운동장쪽을 면해 정원을 가진 ㄱ자의 배치이다. 1층에는 정원에 면해 도서관과 로비홀이 배치되지만 조리실 냄새의 전이를 고려하여 외부 공간을 통해 완전히 분리된다. 조리실 상부에 위치한 급식실은 엘리베이터를 이용해 효율적인 배식준비가 이루어지며 기존 교실동에서 연결복도를 통해 편안한 이동이 가능하다. 로비홀의 장애인 엘리베이터, 조리실의 급식 엔리베이터, 배기탑 그리고 2층 과학실 홀 상부천창이 지붕에서 4개의 큐브를 형성하며 조형적 유희를 가진다. The newly built cafeteria and library, located at the end of the existing classroom main building, have an L-shaped layout with a garden facing the playground. On the first floor, the library and lobby hall are located facing the garden, but they are completely separated by an external space to prevent the transfer of smells from the kitchen. The cafeteria, located above the kitchen, uses an elevator for efficient meal preparation, and allows comfortable movement from the existing classroom building through a connecting hallway. The lobby hall's disabled elevator, the kitchen's food elevator, the exhaust tower, and the upper skylight of the 2nd floor science lab hall form four cubes on the corner of roof, creating a formative joy.
운동장을 향하는 정원쪽 입면은 기존 교사동의 모더니즘적 어휘 입면을 반영하는 판석의 '면'으로 가면처럼 강조되고, 그에 반해 나머지 면은 벽돌의 덩어리감을 가진 입면이 된다.
The garden-side elevation facing the playground is emphasized like a mask by the sliced stone 'face' that reflects the modernist vocabulary of the existing school building, while the remaining face becomes a massive elevation of brick.
판석의 석재로 이루어진 로비홀 입면은 구축적 표현과 비구축적 표현이 혼재되어 나타난다.
The lobby hall elevation, made of flagstone, shows a mixture of tectonical and atectonincal expressions.
중학생들의 행동 특성과 유지관리을 고려한 로비홀에 놓인 계단은 바닥과 난간벽 모두 콘크리트 덩어리로 공간의 크기에 비해 육중한데, 계단을 지지하는 사선 부재가 그러한 인상을 더 한다. 보가 그대로 노출된 천장과 외부의 벽돌마감이 그대로 이어지는 로비 홀 벽체로 인해 로비 홀은 외부 같은 내부 공간이 된다. The staircase in the lobby hall, which takes into account the behavioral characteristics and maintenance of middle school students, is made of concrete for both the floor and the railing wall. The stairs are massive compared to the size of the space, and the diagonal members that support them add to that impression. The lobby hall becomes an interior space that feels like an exterior due to the exposed beam ceiling and the lobby hall walls that continue with the exterior brick finish.
