정동의 고즈넉한 분위기를 만드는 붉은 벽돌이 외부공간과 일층 바닥전체를 덮음으로서 건물은 정동의 일부가 된다. 1970년대 지어진 기존 건물의 파사드는 유지하여 역사성을 보존하되 일층은 투명하게 개방하여 시민들이 보다 자유롭게 드나들 수 있다. 외부의 성격이 다소 차분한 데 반해 다양한 창의적 배움이 일어나는 실내공간은 금속, 유리가 주 재료를 이루며 보다 활기찬 분위기를 만들어낸다. The building becomes a part of Jeong-dong by covering the exterior space and the entire first floor with red bricks creating a quiet atmosphere of Jeong-dong. The façade of the existing building built in the 1970s is maintained to preserve the historicity, but the first floor is transparently opened so that citizens can move in and out more freely. While the exterior is rather calm, the interior space where various creative learning takes place is made of metal and glass as the main materials, creating a more lively atmosphere.
