​바다는 수평선이다. 바닷가 긴집은 바다의 수평적 파노라마를 끌어안으며 풍광과 일체화된다. 길게 늘어선 거실, 응접실, 식당과 주방의 생활공간은 수평적 깊이를 가진 채 연속적으로 흐르는 수평선의 한 조각이다. The sea is horizontal. The long house by the sea is integrated with the landscape by embracing the horizontal panorama of the sea. The horizontally stretched living space with living room, dining, and kitchen is one piece of the horizon running continuously with the same depth. 

그에 반해 잘게 쪼개진 방들은 기다란 생활공간을 지원하는 기능적인 실들이다. 가운데 길게 솟은 톱라이트 볼륨은 집의 가장 깊숙한 중심에 자연광을 끌어들이며 수평적 공간과 대비의 긴장감을 만들어낸다. 집의 곳곳에 나타나는 원형과 삼각형의 도형들은 집주인의 취미인 피규어들의 형상을 직간접적으로 은유한다. The segmented rooms, on the other hand, are simply functional rooms that support the long living space. The long-rising top light volume attracts natural light to the deepest center of the house, creating a tension of contrast with horizontal living space. Figures of circles and triangles that appear throughout the house, directly and indirectly, metaphorize the form of the FIGURE toys, a collection of the homeowners.
