오랜 세월 동안 도시의 온갖 부품들을 생산해 온 세운 상가는 메가스트럭쳐의 스케일로 인해 어느 순간, 도시에 남겨진 하나의 거대한 기계처럼 살아 움직일 것 같은 상상이 들기도 한다. 그러한 세운상가 아래로는 청계천이 유유히 흘러가고 있는데, 이 또한 재생된 인공자연임에도 불구하고 원앙같은 새들과 물고기들이 헤엄쳐 다니는 광경은 새삼 초현실적 일상이기도 하다. As an area that has long been producing all kinds of city parts,
the Sewoon Plaza can be imagined as a giant machine that may come alive one day because of its scale as a megastructure. Underneath it, the Cheonggyecheon flows smoothly, and even though it is a regenerated piece of artificial nature, the sight of birds and fish swimming around adds a sense of surrealness to the city’s daily routine.

이러한 교차점에 위치하는 〈공상의 방〉은 세운상가와 대림상가를 잇는 다리에 쳐지는 도시와 자연의 경계 막으로서 캐노피 아래 공간을 느슨하게 구획된 코로나 시대의 방으로 가볍게 변모시키는데, 이는 누군가 한 낮 멍하니 청계천을 바라보며 몽환적 공상에 잠기길 부추기는 인공적 장치이자 청계천의 무대이다. <Daydream Chambers>, located at this intersection, is a barrier between the city and nature on the bridge connecting the Sewoon Shopping Center and the Daerim Shopping Center, lightly transforming the space under the canopy into a loosely partitioned room for the pandemic era. It is an artificial device and a stage that encourages visitors to immerse themselves in daydreaming while idly gazing at the river.
