기존의 운동장을 마주한 건물의 서측면은 주변 산세와 함께 하나의 풍경으로 방문자를 맞이 한다. 운동장의 곡선을 반영한 서측동의 길게 내민 처마선은 원경으로는 산세의 부드러운 곡선에 스며들고 근경으로는 방문자를 포근하게 안으로 인도하는 따스함을 가진다. 기둥에 비하면 다소 얇아 보이는 처마를 받치는 열주는 전통적으로 무거운 것의 상부를 받치는 기둥의 역할을 넘어 기둥 그 자체의 요소를 부각시키며, 기능적으로는 서측에 대한 일사를 차단하는 역할을 함과 동시에 건물이 본관으로서 가져야 할 위상과 상징을 획득한다.The west side of the building facing the existing playground welcomes visitors with a landscape along with the surrounding mountains. The long eaves line of the west side that reflects the curve of the playground permeates the soft curves of the mountains in the distant view, and has the warmth that gently guides the visitors inside in the near view. The colonnade supporting the eaves, which looks rather thin compared to the pillars, goes beyond the traditional role of supporting the upper part of heavy objects and emphasizes the elements of the pillars themselves. It acquires the status and symbol it should have.
곡선을 이룬 열주가 캠퍼스 진입에 첫인상을 만든다.

연구동의 수직 타워와 길게 펼쳐진 강의동 매스는 서로 상호 참조적으로 대비되지만 열주라는 공통의 어휘를 동일하게 가짐으로써 전체적 조화를 이룬다. 서측의 고전적 어휘에 반해 남측의 필로티, 전면 유리커튼월과 사선기둥, 부유하는 덩어리는 근대적 인상을 제공한다. Although the vertical tower of the research building and the mass of the long stretched lecture building contrast each other in a cross-reference, they harmonize as a whole by having the same common vocabulary of colonnade. Contrary to the classical vocabulary of the west, the piloti in the south, the full glass curtain wall and diagonal columns, and the floating mass provide a modern impression.
도서관과 체육관의 볼륨이 낮게 드리워진 반면 교수연구동은 수직으로 솟아 강한 대비를 만든다.
While the volume of the library and gymnasium hangs low, the faculty research building rises vertically, creating a strong contrast.
거대한 열주는 상징뿐만 아니라 도서관의 차양의 역할을 겸한다.

캠퍼스 열주의 질서는 건물 전체를 관통하는데, 회랑 안쪽 미디어 도서관의 영역을 분할하고, 중정 벽돌벽에 만들어진 길고 좁은 유리기둥의 창, 조경 바닥패턴, 강의실 벽돌벽의 창 모듈, 그리고 타워동의 알루미늄 루버에까지 열주로 부터 나온 질서를기본으로 용도에 따라 재료와 형식을 달리하면서 변주된다. 이는 다양한 부분들이 하나의 전체로 통합되게 하는 결정적 요소이며, 열주에 대한 오마주적 상징성을 더욱 확고히 한다. The order of the campus colonnade runs through the entire building, dividing the area of the media library inside the corridor, the windows of long and narrow glass columns made in the courtyard brick wall, the landscaping floor pattern, the window modules of the classroom brick walls, and even the aluminum louvers of the tower building. Based on the order from the colonnade, it is varied by changing the material and form according to the use. This is a decisive factor that allows the various parts to be integrated into one whole, and further solidifies the symbolism of homage to the colonnade.
