논 한가운데 자리잡은 대지로 인해 보호된 외부공간이 필요하여 중정을 만들고, 두 가족의 사생활을 고려하여 순환형 ㅁ자 동선을 의도적으로 단절시키면서 얻어진 ㄷ집은 아파트를 떠나온 건축주에게 외부공간이 집안에 깊숙히 자리잡은 환경을 제공할 것이다. A courtyard was created because of the need for a protected outdoor space due to the site located in the middle of the rice fields. Considering the privacy of the two families, the ㄷ house, which was obtained by intentionally cutting off the circular ㅁ shape, will provide an environment where the outdoor space is deeply embedded in the house to the owner who has left the apartment.
밖에서는 단순한 형태로 보이지만 안에는 중정이 집의 중심역할을 한다.

애매한 크기와 모호한 개방감으로 인해 중정인듯 아닌듯 한 안마당은 그 자체가 한폭의 그림의 역할을 한다. 비가오는 날에는 안마당으로 경사진 지붕에서 흘러내리는 빗줄기와 소리들이 집 전체를 물들이고, 맑은 날에는 집 구석구석에 햇빛이 자연스레 시간을 알려주며, 창문을 열면 들어오는 시원한 바람은 더욱 외부공간과 일체화된 삶을 만들어준다. Due to its ambiguous size and sense of openness, the courtyard itself plays the role of a painting. On rainy days, the raindrops and sounds flowing down from the roof sloping to the courtyard color the entire house, and on a clear day, sunlight in every corner of the house naturally tells the time. When you open the window, the cool breeze that comes in creates a more integrated life with the outside space.

남쪽을 향한 집의 정면은 중정의 생활을 보호하는 담장과 양쪽 두가족의 공간의 벽이 함께 배치된 입면으로 그 용도를 솔직히 드러내지만 집 전체를 감싸고 있는 초록의 벽돌로 인해 집은 전체의 통일감을 가진다. The facade of the house facing south honestly reveals its purpose as an elevation where the wall protecting the life of the courtyard and the walls of the space for both families are arranged together, but the green bricks surrounding the whole house give the house a sense of unity.
시골에서 흔히 보는 골강판 지붕에 단순한 초록의 외관을 가진 디귿집은 여름에는 무성히 자란 초록 들판에 숨어버리지만 가을 수확때의 황금 들판과는 대비를 이루면서 주변환경과 집의 관계를 지루하지 않게 만들고 있다. 전체적으로 낮은 볼륨에 유독 올라온 굴뚝은 어릴적 시골집의 기억을 환기하지만 실제로는 난방 기능을 하지 않고 단순 장식에 가까운 요소로 자리한 것은 현대주택에서 굴뚝의 의미를 되묻는다. The house with a simple green exterior with a corrugated steel roof commonly seen in the countryside hides in the lush green fields in summer, but contrasts with the golden fields in the autumn harvest, making the relationship between the surrounding environment and the house not boring. The chimney raised in a low volume overall evokes the memories of a country house as a child, but the fact that it does not actually function as a heating function and is placed as an element close to a simple decoration raises the question of the meaning of the chimney in a modern house.
